Explore the vernal pools of Carmel Mountain with environmental champion David Hogan
David Hogan has been a fierce advocate for endangered species and vernal pools in San Diego County. It would be difficult to find any one advocate who has done more to advance the cause of vernal pool conservation in San Diego County.
David progressed from an accomplished staff member of the Center for Biological Diversity to establishing the Chaparral Lands Conservancy, which works actively to restore and manage vernal pool habitat. The Chaparral Lands Conservancy partners with The California Chaparral Institute and other regional conservation organizations to increase the potential for endangered species survival.
