Stop SDG&E Fracked Gas Pipeline 3602

Fracked Gas Pipeline Proposal 3602

As an SDG&E ratepayer, are you willing pay $600 million for a fracked gas pipeline through San Diego County so SEMPRA/SDG&E can export American energy to Asia? Are you willing to allow your rates to rise, your streets, your parks and open spaces to be degraded for big-utility profits? Can you afford to keep paying for corporate welfare? The project is a ratepayer rip-off and climate busting disaster. Please send a message of opposition to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) now.

RE: Pipeline 3602 Proceeding A1509013

Dear CPUC,

“I oppose SDG&E’s destructive pipeline proposal through San Diego County. Demand for natural gas in the region is falling and ratepayers should not be asked to pay $600 million for a project that degrades San Diego while busting State plans to slow climate breakdown.”

Leave the same message with Governor Brown at (916) 445-2841.

SDG&E’s Pipeline 3602 Needs to Be Stopped

“San Diego already has some of the most expensive energy in the country. The price tag of $600 million would be an additional cost passed on to ratepayers for an unneeded project that has been designed to increase the profits of Sempra Energy.”

Critics Attack “Unnecessary” Pipeline Proposal

“They’ve morphed a simple requirement, to test, into some massive new infrastructure project that the region doesn’t need,”

California Office of Ratepayer Advocates has filed two protests and a motion to dismiss the application for SDG&E’s fracked gas pipeline 3602 project

“ORA has reviewed the SDG&E/SoCalGas’ amended application and recommends that the CPUC deny the utilities’ request to approve the CPCN to construct the Line 3602 Pipeline because SoCalGas and SDG&E have failed to demonstrate that the pipeline is necessary to address the SDG&E Southern System safety, reliability, and system capacity issues.”
